Presentation design

A deck that survives being edited by someone else.

We design the deck you need now and build the master template behind it, so the version your head of sales makes in March still looks like it came from the same company.

The problem

Most decks decay within a month.

A designer delivers forty polished slides. Someone needs slide twelve with different numbers, cannot find the layout, so they copy slide eleven and type over it. The type size is now slightly off. Repeat for a quarter and the deck is a patchwork.

The fix is boring and structural: real master slides, real placeholders, styles defined at the theme level, and a small set of layouts that cover every case someone will need. Then editing correctly is easier than editing badly.

The other half of the problem is the narrative. A lot of decks are a list of features in a sequence that only makes sense to the person who built the product. We will push on the order before we touch the visuals.

“The deck our designer made is beautiful. Nobody can edit it. So we use the old one.”

Heard often enough that we changed how we build them

What you get

Everything in the box.

Delivered in your tool, set up properly, not exported as images. We build in Google Slides, PowerPoint or Keynote as you prefer.

  • A narrative pass: the running order, the argument each slide makes, and which slides to cut.
  • Fifteen to twenty-five designed slides, built on masters rather than drawn individually.
  • Master layouts for the recurring cases: section break, full-bleed statement, two-column, chart, team, pricing.
  • Theme-level colour and type styles, so a change to the theme updates every slide at once.
  • Chart templates with your data formats already set up and the default decoration stripped out.
  • A dark and a light variant of the master set for different rooms and projection conditions.
  • A one-page guide on adding a slide without breaking the system, written for a non-designer.
  • A print-safe PDF export setting so the leave-behind does not look different from the screen version.

How it runs

Four steps, start to handover.

  1. Read

We read the current deck and the transcript of you pitching it, and note where the argument stalls.

  2. Structure

A revised running order in outline form, agreed before any slide is designed.

  3. Design

The deck built on masters, with the awkward dense slides tackled first rather than last.

  4. Handover

Template files, the editing guide, and a short call walking your team through adding slides.

Questions

What teams ask before booking.

Can you write the content too?

We will restructure it, tighten headlines and cut what is not working. Writing the substance from scratch is a different job and we will tell you when you need a specialist rather than us.

We pitch next week. Is that possible?

Sometimes, for a surcharge, and only if the content is essentially final. What we will not do is compress the structural conversation, because a beautiful deck making the wrong argument is not useful.

Google Slides or PowerPoint?

Whichever your team actually uses. Google Slides is more limited on typography; PowerPoint handles masters better. We will build properly in either and tell you the trade-off before starting.

Will it work with our brand?

If you have a system, we build inside it. If you do not, we will make consistent decisions for the deck and flag that they are deck-only decisions, so you are not accidentally setting brand policy through a pitch.

Do you do the investor data room too?

Not as a service, but the same template covers the appendix and the metrics slides, which is most of what the data room summary needs.
